Novena to the Sacred Heart Recommended novena dates: June 7–15, 2023 The Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart is June 16, 2023 An Efficacious Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Attributed to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Saint Padre Pio recited this novena every day for all those who requested his prayers. This novena can be prayed any time of year or, as did Padre Pio, perpetually throughout the year. However, it is traditionally prayed for nine days prior to the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart.
